A Graphic Novel based on Ayn Rand’s Atlas Shrugged

Graphic Novel Atlas Shrugged

The Ayn Rand Institute reports that Bosch Fawstin and Amy Peikoff are co-authoring a graphic novel based on Ayn Rand’s Atlas Shrugged. The work will be published by New American Library, and is expected to be released in three parts within the next couple of years. This is an extremely ambitious project, but I think Bosch and Amy are up to the task.

Bosch (interviewed here) is an award-winning cartoonist and the author of The Infidel, a graphic novel about the anti-jihad superhero “Pigman.” He is widely known for his cartoons of Muhammad and his pro-free speech activism (for which jihadists have tried to kill him). Amy is the host of Don’t Let It Go!, a podcast dedicated to discussing current events from an Objectivist perspective. She is also working on a book titled “Legalizing Privacy: Why and How,” on “the value of privacy for the virtuous life and the proper means of protecting it.”

ARI notes that New American Library will not officially announce the project until editorial issues are finalized and covers are designed, so we might not hear much more about this for a while. But fans of Atlas Shrugged are no strangers to good suspense.

Best success to Bosch and Amy in bringing Atlas to life in this new medium!
